Terms of Service

Effective date: July 5, 2026 · These terms cover the minino apps (use.minino.app and, when released, our desktop and mobile apps) and this website. minino is operated by its founder, Galo Becerra ("we", "us"). By using minino you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

minino is a local-first notes, tasks and planning app. The free tier runs on your device without an account. minino Pro is an optional paid tier adding encrypted cloud sync, managed AI, an adaptive planner (as released), and priority support. We're an early-stage, actively developed product — features evolve, and we'll be honest in-app and on this site about what's live versus on the roadmap.

2. Your content is yours

You own everything you create in minino. We claim no rights over your notes, tasks or pages. When you enable sync or invoke AI features, you grant us the limited permission needed to do exactly that — store and transmit your content to operate those features at your direction — and nothing more. We don't use your content for advertising or to train AI models.

3. Accounts

You don't need an account for the free tier. If you create one (for sync or Pro), keep your credentials secure — you're responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 to create an account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

4. Subscriptions, trials & billing

• Prices: Pro is $14.99/month or $149.99/year (auto-renewing), or a one-time $299.99 Lifetime purchase. Prices may change; changes never apply retroactively to a period you've already paid for, and we'll notify subscribers before a renewal at a new price.
• Trial: new subscriptions include a 15-day free trial. Cancel before it ends and you won't be charged.
• Renewal & cancellation: subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel anytime — on the web via your account/billing portal, on mobile via your App Store/Google Play subscription settings. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep Pro until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds: purchases on mobile follow Apple's/Google's refund policies. For web purchases, if something's wrong, email us — we'd rather fix it or refund a recent charge than keep an unhappy customer.
• "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the minino product — for as long as we operate it — not the lifetime of the purchaser or of the internet.
• Billing is processed by Stripe, Apple or Google via RevenueCat; their terms also apply to the payment itself.

5. AI features

minino's AI (task-size inference, the Pounce refinement agent, and future planning features) produces suggestions, not facts. Outputs can be wrong, incomplete or oddly confident — review anything important before relying on it. AI features are not professional advice of any kind. Managed AI is subject to a monthly fair-use limit; you can always use your own API key instead.

6. Local data is your responsibility

The free tier stores your workspace only on your device. That's the feature — but it means that if the device is lost, reset, or its browser storage is cleared, and you haven't enabled cloud sync, your data is gone and we cannot recover it. Enable sync or export your work if it matters. We are not liable for loss of locally stored data.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use minino to break the law, infringe others' rights, distribute malware, probe or overload our systems, resell the service, or abuse the AI features (including attempts to extract other users' data or our providers' keys). We may throttle or suspend abusive use to protect the service for everyone.

8. As-is, warranties & liability

minino is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $50 if you've paid nothing). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Termination

You can stop using minino anytime, and delete your account by emailing us (see the Privacy Policy). We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms. If we ever discontinue the service, we'll give reasonable notice so you can export synced data — your local data always remains on your device.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we'll update this page and its effective date, and notify account holders in-app or by email before the changes take effect. Continuing to use minino after that means you accept the updated terms.
